ROPE – Rural Oregon Partnerships for Employment Project

The basis for the grant is to serve youth that at some point have been involved with the juvenile system.  This grant gives us the ability to work with youth and help them achieve the educational goals and find employment in high demand/high growth industries.

Just a few of the outcomes we expect from this program:

Ø      Students will earn their GED or High School Diploma

Ø      Students may enter long-term occupational or vocational training

Ø      Students will receive short-term training and earn a certificate

Ø      Students will enter and retain employment

Ø      Students will work toward a career ladder that will take them in the direction of their industry of choice

 Summer School –

Each summer, local high school students who are in need of credit recovery attend a six-week program sponsored by MTC. We work with the high schools to ensure that the youth are working in the subject areas needed. This allows youth to recover needed credits to get back on track so they can graduate with their class. Upon completion of summer school, the credits are then transferred to the schools and posted on their transcripts.

Equal Opportunity Program:
