Mission Statement

To strengthen the area’s workforce by coordinating the human investment resources of the local communities. To accomplish the mission, the RWIB has three tasks:

1.)  Approve an annual and five-year strategic regional work plan. 

2.) Guide the establishment of collaborative service delivery agreements which support that plan.                                                                                             

3.) Advise The Oregon Consortium (TOC) and the State Workforce Investment Board (WIB) regarding policy and resource distribution issues to allow our region to maximize human, community and economic development. 

The RWIB Commitment 

To assure preparation and continued training of our workforce so that we are able to meet the changing demands of the 21st century. Quality, excellence and employment through a genuine partnership of public and private sector. Raising the standard of living for all of our citizens. Advocate for the human investment needs of Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook counties. Diversity within our communities. Support win/win solutions for our regional issues.

Private Business Membership Qualifications 

Volunteer appointees from the region who: Support a human investment strategy as a means of community development. Are committed to communicating with a constituency to ensure consistent solutions with the values of the citizenship. Are willing to attend meetings and provide valuable input. Support consensus decision-making.

Term of Office

Term consists of two and three year terms for all private sector members. All members will be eligible to serve a second term, equal to the first.
